whatchya think?
Traded the '67 F100 for this yesterday. Let me know what you think....good trade? Be honest. I really liked the F100.
1975 GMC sierra 15 shortbed stepside 350,3 on the tree 3.73 12bolt rear axle surface rust only(except pass fender) add on A/C poser steering manual brakes......and... LOTS of Black Widows!

Re: whatchya think?
looks like a decent deal to me! I have always liked slotted wheels, and white trucks. The manual brakes part kinda bites, and so will those creepy spiders. Whatta you going to do with her?

Re: whatchya think?
have a th350 to replace the 3spd. I have thought about putting a 292 6cyl in place of the 350,just to be different. Put on lowering spindles and rear shackles/hangers...and DRIVE!

Re: whatchya think?
Sweet! That is about what I started with about three years ago ('73). Since then I have put a new crate motor in it, a 700R4 instead of the three on the tree. It is currently in the shop for a third paint job. I have replaced both front fenders, both doors with aftermarket ones.
I wasn't too happy with the doors but fenders are ok. I just bought some '86 OEM doors with electric locks and windows and those are being installed at the body shop. They are also replacing the floor pans and cab corners. Having the inside repainted and new upholstry and carpet. Should be ready today. Looking forward to seeing it. I have been by several time and it is looking good. Good luck with it. I am sure it will have the normal things wrong with it but it won't be too bad. Last edited by mhicks; 07-10-2008 at 01:07 PM. |

Re: whatchya think?
I like it. Minimal rust is a good thing. I'd take that over the ford any day...

Re: whatchya think?
Can't wait to see what those wheels look like all cleaned up. I would adjust the stance a bit, hack off that step bumper, find some tires a bit more suited for it, and definitely clean out the black widows. I think you got the better end of that deal, as long as the spider don't cause loss of limb or anything.
I swear, I can't read. For a minute there I was trying to figure out why someone would throw in a bunch of black windows. I know some of yall did the same thing...

Re: whatchya think?
The f100 looks pretty straight and they are getting harder and harder to find with decent bodies. As long as you are happy with the trade then that is all the matters, right.
