LMC Lower control Arm kit
Question: LMC offers a control arm set for a 2 1/4 inch front drop.
Has anyone used these on his or her truck? I know that most folks use the drop spindles but I would like some feedback on these lower control arms. My lower A frames are mismatched and the mounts that bolt to the cross member are in poor condition. The replacement of the mounts looks to me as if they would require new rivets to install and I am not sure how that would be done. Ideally I would like about a 1 to 2 inch front and a 3 to 4 inch rear drop Thanks in advance

IMO the drop pocket style a-arms aren't a good idea unless there isn't an alternative. The bottom of the a-arm is a potential problem spot on stock a-arm trucks that have been lowered & a dropped cup a-arm would only exaggerate this. My old roomate had a 65 SWB w/dropped a-arms & I had a 67 w/drop spindles & trimmed fact coils, his hung up on a city manhole cover @ about 35mph & totaled the truck(bowed the frame & buckled all the sheetmetal)& mine is still driving around yrs later only bottoming hard one time in a constuction zone.
