Question for lowered guys
I got a new Spectre Racing differential cover in from Jeg's today (12 bolt). With the truck lowered the cover is too deep (wants to be where the panard bar is). Does anyone know a high quality cover (billet, cast aluminum, etc.) for the GM 12 bolt that's not as deep (needs to be within one inch of stock depth)?
BTW: look for a beautiful cover in the FS section Last edited by jb4short; 07-17-2008 at 04:29 PM. |

Re: Question for lowered guys
John,
does it have the tracbar relocated to the bottom of the control arm?? Don't know if it will make a difference but it might. Seems I remember seeing something about this issue in a previous thread. aka FATBOYS69 DeWayne |

Re: Question for lowered guys
Yes DeWayne... but looking at the panard bar it wouldn't matter if it were in it's original location. With the 6" drop the panard bar crosses the center of the diff cover rather than across the top.

Re: Question for lowered guys
I believe CPP or ECE makes a 'curved' panhard bar that clears those deep aluminum style pumpkin covers.

Re: Question for lowered guys
I have a T/A aluminum cover that hits my panard bar. I have ground a small amount away on the cover to have just the slightest gap. I like the cover - just wished I didn't have to grind on it.
