Not a truck part....but....

I know this is not a truck part, but it goes in my garage, so hopefully it is close enough.

I am looking for a 110v electric motor to put on my attic fan (converted to shop fan). Mine went toes-up and it is sooooo old that it can't be repaired.
Roughly 1/3 hp is what it had on it. I know I can get new from NorthernTool, Harbor Freight, etc... but I don't want to spend a my whole check on a motor.

I KNOW this is in the wrong section, but I also know that the WTB section gets very little traffic compared to this page.

Thanks in advance. PLEASE send me a PM if you have one with price + shipping to Brandon, MS 39042.

Thanks,
ERIC

Man we throw that kinda stuff away all the time, seriously, but I have no idea
how to tell you what the hp is on the electric motors? All I can tell you is it's
the size in those 48" heatbuster shop floor fans. (They get damaged alot)

Re: Not a truck part....but....

That is the one. Mine is about 4-feet across with 3 blades almost 1-foot wide each. It doesn't turn very fast, but it will blow the hair off a catz-azz. And very...VERY quiet compared to the newer versions of fans.
(If they are 110v I don't really care what HP is it. If it has enough 'umph' to turn a big fan that is great.)

Hook a brotha' up with a motor Craig. I'll pay shippping!!!

Re: Not a truck part....but....

Can you post a pic of the bad one? The place I work has a bunch of different types and size electric motors. If I knew the size and way it mounted I can take a look and see what I can find.
