sound deadening
hey gang, trucks done and a little loud for the wife on long hauls. I have looked at forums for info and lots of different opinions, but none talked much about ease of install. Also how hard to remove behind seat fuel tank? which sound deadening mat is best cost as well as ease of use. where does one look to purchase these mats. Thanks, Gary

good info. Are there any mat failure stories that anyone would like to contribute. I don't want a hot puddled mess. quieting it down is a must for far away get togethers. Gary

I did the Fatman sound deadener in the cab/doors and it made a big difference... especially for rattles. Then I put down the rubber mat stuff on the floorboard. Threw molded carpet on top and called it good. I don't think you can do more than that.
Now my only real noise is from the door seals... upper rear. It's not bad and only when you get up to 60 or so. I highly recommend the sound deadener.. it's a weekend job. Not hard, just time consuming. |
