Advice on power window kits
Since I am in the process of working on the cab I figured now is a good time to ask. Any advice on a kit WITHOUT breaking the bank? I am looking at ones on ebay right now. What I was thinking is that the one with the motor attacked to the track seems to have less of a chance of messing up. I figured that the others that have the cable can catch or jab. Don't know if I explained it correctly or not but makes sense to me. Just thought I would ask for anyones experience in the area. Thanks again and I will include pictures as I do the install.

http://www.nu-relics.com/ I was warned by a friend not to use a cheap set up. They can be very hard to adjust. I paid a little over $350.00 w/out switches because I went with different switches. Like most things you usually get what you pay for. My 2 cents Good luck Marc |

Re: Advice on power window kits
Just remember that the door tapers downtowards the bottom and the motor connected to the shaft can only be so low in the door, as oposed to the "remote" motor

Re: Advice on power window kits
Solid is right...you need one w/a remote motor. I first tried one with the motor attached & you could not get the door to track angle right.
