Weight difference
Im looking in to buying a 67 C/30 cab and chassis and was woundering how much more weight it is than a c/30 than my c/10. Also if i would take and put my 307 in the 67 with a turbo 400 how bad of mpg would it get?

Re: Weight difference
The old 1 tons CC are probably not much heavier (if any) than a LWB truck with a 8' bed, BUT the gear ratio is what is going to kill you. The highest it could be is 4.10, but they were usually more in the 4.56 - 5.13 range unless it was factory V8 truck. My '67 C-30 had 5.13's and might have gotten 8 mpg with 292 L6 on a good day!
