Rear hanger install
I have some lowering leaf hangers for the rear of my 86 and i was just wondering if anyone had any infor or tips for changing them out.

are you talking about the hangers (front of leaf spring) or the shackles (rear of leaf spring)??
for the hangers, grind off the heads of the rivets with a angle grinder, then with a hammer and a punch knock the rivets out of the holes. then bolt the new hangers in place using grade 8 hardware. i would also put some locktite on the new hardware. for the shackles, you might need to notch one of the cross pieces on the underside of the bed. just look under there and you will see what i mean.

For the front hangers, removing the bed makes the job a lot easier. You may even need to drop the gas tank(s) to get to the front side rivets.
