Is the EZ wiring harness a good one? Any other recomendations? Maybe also a good place to get the guages from? I'm building my own frame also and where's a good place to run the wires front to back, my dad's got some harness clips that he uses on trailers that i think look like they'd work quite well.

I would recommend an M&H Wiring Harness. This harness seems to be the closest to the stock harness.
GMC Paul's carries this harness.

I did a Painless Wiring Harness on my old 70. it wasn't too bad

I used a painless harness on my 72 GMC. I wasn't real impressed with it. I guess it worked ok.

I ordered a EZwiring harness for my 68, but haven't installed it, so can't give an opinion of it.

I'm planning on using one in my new build. They look nice and much cheaper. I don't want a factory replacement. I have too many extras going in and need extra circuits, etc. I talked to them on the phone and thay seemed very nice and very helpful.

EZ worked great for me and you can't beat the price. I've never had to rewire an entire vehicle and was a little intimidated by it. Just took my time and I didn't have any problems at all.......I'd buy again.

I just did my truck with an EZ kit this winter. No problems at all, and everything worked right the first time. And yeah, the price was 'unbeatable".

I used the mini 21 circuit kit, although I could have gotten away with less circuits. I ended up deleting about half of the harness.

When/if I have to rewire another vehicle, it'll be an EZ harness too.

I also used the EZ-wiring kit, 21 circuit.

I was also intimidated at first, but once I got it done, I would have no problems doing this again with the same kit.

Do I get this right? Will the EZ 21 harness handle all my basic needs?

I have been looking at all the different harnesses in my "Year One" and "LMC" catalogs, and each of them show that I would need multiple harnesses to wire my truck. Please tell me I can accomplish the same with this one simple, inexpensive wiring harness.

I got an ezwire 14 circuit heavy duty loom, and was very dissapointed with the quality, when I questioned it "they blammed their workers", when in actual fact it is a design fault, "See Pics"
Firstly the flasher can won't go all the way in "not enough room "
secondly there is a gap between the mounting plate and the fuse block because the wires don't have enough room especially on the ignition cutout switch side, two wires are actually damaged because of this, I am going to make a taller mounting plate to overcome the problem.
If anyone has one of these in there truck I would strongly recommend you check this as I would hate for someone to have a serious mishap, "When not if "the wires short it will be direct to ground

telly, 21 circuits is more then I needed and I have powerwindows, heated seats, stereo with two amps, and I still have several wires that I did not use.

I am not sure what to say about ausmarty wire kit, but take a look at the pictures that SactoJim posted, same as my kit and I thought it was top notch!

If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape. If a hammer doesn't fix it, you have an electrical problem!
