Vintage Pass 67 Dragtruck 2003
You guys like videos and pics so here's one for you. This is my best pass ever 1/8 mile in the 67 Dragtruck. We were there to match race so were not posting times, but it was a 5.32 @131.6. Nowhere near what Chris Shortridge is running in that other video posted recently, but bear in mind that this is 5 years ago in 2003 and was done on factory trailing arms. My truck was all steel except for the hood. It still had all factory glass except for the back window where the roll cage went through, and even had power windows and door locks.
Hope you enjoy. Tom

Racing at that level is very expensive. I put a smaller motor in it, the sbc in my sig, but it was not the same and still a bit much for a street truck. Now I'd just prefer a cool street truck. I raced plenty to get it out of my system. I did it non stop for about 6-7 years. Tom

I talked him out of the truck without the motor!
We might get that fast one day!

Re: Vintage Pass 67 Dragtruck 2003
I sold it in pieces. For the technology of the time and the size it was an awesome motor. I just didn't have the money to build one of the big motors and just as I was getting out of it the turbo's were starting to show up and all I can say about the turbo motors is wow.

Re: Vintage Pass 67 Dragtruck 2003
If I wasn't so ignorant to the turbo stuff I would put a couple under the hood of the old truck But I do like the way the nitrous cars leave allot better than the turbo stuff!

Re: Vintage Pass 67 Dragtruck 2003
If I had a sponsor to pay for everything, I'd build one with trailing arms still that had a twin turbo big block. A pair of 88's would do the trick nicely.
