sup everyone, as you know i am putting that 50 GMC back together now. i got most "instruments" hooked up, shifter, steering, brakes. but the gas pedal i am not sure what to do. i need to keep the stock pedal but its designed to "push" the throttle, while now the V-8 SBC requires the throttle to be "pulled".

what are you guys doing to convert the push pedal to a pull pedal???

ok, looked in my friends 53 Bel-air and this is similar to what he has. you push on the pedal then the top arm pulls on the cable...

Looks like you found one, 9.99 plus shipping seems to be a good deal considering the cost of gas to go chase one. If you pursue it locally 64-69 Chevelle, LeMans, Skylark, Cutlass should all work, probably big body gm cars too. I also think 74 or so Chevy truck has similar linkage for cable setup too.

Thanks Frenchblue. I was thinking about the mechanical linkage that is bolted to the firewall.
