interior
Well it's done (for awhile anyway)... I did the interior paint myself (had to save some $$ somewhere); tried to break it up a bit and not have all the metal in the cab red. The carpet is more grey than the pics show. Spray bombed the dash and it came out passable (chrome glove box on order and will do the same black insert).

Re: interior
Lookin sharp! Are you gonna repaint the needles in your gauges? Looks like (and it may just be the flash) some are lighter than the others. Sorry, I'm nitpicking I know. But it's like wearing a tuxedo w/brown shoes.

Re: interior
Thanks guys,
Yeah, the needles in the gauges are a little faded. But the pics make the dash look better than it really is.... the rattle can paint, while close in color, came out with kind of a rough texture. Don't know if your suppose to buff out or what. So it's more of a clean daily driver than a show truck and I'll leave the gauges unless I take the whole truck to the next level, which I doubt. My daughter has already messed up the paint a little bit I have a 72 that I was going to fix up and it's been sitting for over 10 years. The 67 had most of the things I wanted to do and it was cheaper than doing it myself. The seat and dash pad were out of the 72 and freshly reupholstered before it was parked (truck was covered so they held up great). Last edited by Mondo; 09-08-2008 at 07:44 PM. |
