Intro - My Rig
If I sound grateful to you all, that’s because I am.
I found this forum one night while in the process of attempting to determine the value of my 1970 fleetside… so I could sell it. I started reading… then kept on reading…then kept on reading… three (3) hours later and two (2) hours after my bedtime, I was inspired to keep my truck. I’ve been reading and lurking ever since and in the meantime have spent over $2000.00 fixing and improving the rig and enjoyed every (almost) minute of it! Would have sold the truck had it not been for the stellar information, enthusiasm and good will I have found here. Here are some pictures as of today. Note:::::::> Most of that $2000.00 is still sitting in the garage... now, I am replacing the front light wire loom, which caught on fire... because I wasn't paying attention when I replaced the alternator... and some wires melted on the exhaust header... and then certain wires crossed.... and then poof, one self-inflected wound to fix. Thanks again folks. Last edited by moon; 08-09-2008 at 06:25 PM. |

WELCOME,
Glade you found us and kept the truck. They all need good homes. I wish I could buy up everyone I see. Make sure you post updates as you go along.

Hey Moon, I too almost sold mine after 4 years off and on on this board. Went other places and other trucks, but looked back in every now and then. Glade I did. Glade you did.

Re: Intro - My Rig
The same wasy I felt, I always get bored of the cars, trucks & motorcycles I have owned I use them for a while then I sell them just to get another toy but after finding this board I started to get this I dont know kind of "LOVE" towards this particular truck i own. The thought of selling it every once in a while has gone away....

Re: Intro - My Rig
Welcome from Kent, WA. Those look like Jackman wheels...which I understand are "keepers" and quite popular with the 4x4 guys. Don't make the mistake I did and just toss them, thinking they were just poorly made imitations of cheap wagon wheels...

Welcome to the board! I have had all kinds of muscle cars, older cars, all kinds of other trucks, but I've never had a body style grab me like these have. Glad you kept it!

Another "Welcome aboard" from NorCal.
Glad you decide to keep the truck. Unfortunately, they are addictive, in a good kinda way!
