I think my collection is complete!
I think this is it for me. Just purchased the 72 Cheyenne Super SWB 4x4 from 67Chip72 (future restoration), 67 CST SWB (Daily Driver) and 55 Belair (work in progress). I still have the N2deep project, but haven't had a chance to work on it (been working on the house, purchased a 66 Airstream that I replaced the plumbing-carpet-converter-battery-water pump-stripped the clear coat and fixed the toilet, our first trip is next week, and have an ongoing lawsuit with a pool contractor that ran off with $25K of my money)
I thought I would pull them out and get a few pics of them! |

Re: I think my collection is complete!
AWESOME COLLECTION!!! I have the itch for a short fleet 4X4 myself. That is a very nice truck, and I'm glad it stayed the "family" when Chip sold it!
P.S. Are you still planning on bagging the '67 and putting the Intros on it?

Re: I think my collection is complete!
No, I will just do a 4/6 drop and a disk brake setup! I think I will keep this one somewhat original. I did buy a buddy seat for it and may change the interior to black!

Nice trucks and sweet Bel Air. I see you're missing a 69/70 model though.

Nice 55!
Definately no Jay Leno but happy with my little collection. One of them is even a Ford (only one I ever had and it's been a faithful family hauler). Last edited by Mondo; 08-10-2008 at 06:57 PM. |

Re: I think my collection is complete!
Thanks Chuck! I have kept it inside the garage since I got it. When I pulled it out for the pic my wife said I was "such a nerd." I told her "you know you like it" as she turned to me, gave me a dirty look and told me it was ugly. The funny thing is she hated the 55 when I first got it. She said it looked like a "lowrider car." And that's before I lowered it and it had 15" Halibrand wheels on it Now she loves the 55 and complains if I take the kids for a ride in it and don't take her.

Re: I think my collection is complete!
Now LUV you know here in Tennessee we "only" shoot people that have screwed us over and don't owe us money. Now if you do owe us money we pull up in your yard and hook up to whatever you have that's of equal value (True Story).

I checked everything (the BBB, Contractors state lic board, his bond, he had an office and website) and he had several jobs going that looked to be doing well. Long story short he would have about 75% of the pool completed by sub contractors, you would pay him "per the contract", but he would not pay them and bail. And this guy has a wife and kids? This guy thought he was smarter than the system, but will do some time. Whatever, I still have my good job, house and family (life goes on)! Pics of pool! |
