i two toned my 69 step!

so i got bored over the winter fixed some stuff and about a month ago, before syracuse nationals, i decided i needed to two tone my truck. i wanted to look different for this year. i wanted to do air ride but no money and a two tone was cheaper. what do you guys think????

this was the last pic of it one color. and with my new bike...

got a bunch of friends over and we blew it all apart and wet sanded everything...

after painting the cab and fenders...

i didnt wanna be like everyone else, so i finished off the door jams too...

that was the easiest part...

i need to find someone thats good at making interiors.

Beautiful truck.

Question for you. You sprayed the doors OFF the vehicle??? Any issues with the paint not matching correctly? I have always painted the jams with the exterior and did the doors seperately, but a few people said i needed to do the doors ON the car....

Thoughts>?

i didnt have any color matching problems. i painted everything all at once but it was just all apart. as long as you spray every part with the same amount of coats, same air pressure, etc., itll come out fine. i wet sanded the whole outside of the truck while it was together. took the fine line around the truck to break up the color then took it apart so i knew everything would line up.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I totally like that you carried the 2 tone into the door jamb. That always looks bad to me when it isn't done.
