roof chop
how many people do it? iv seen one on here and it looked kickass.. how hard is it to do from a 1-10...10 being hard

years back i helped a guy with transporting a cab for an older truck to a guy who was to chop the cab and i can tell you this if its not done right it is a disaster as this fellow learned... search the member XXL and check his threads about the chop and dealing with the jerk he hired in north carolina

I have never done one, but have seen many started and never finished. It depends on your skills, but I would say it's a 10 if you consider how much has to be done and if you screw up, you have a cab that's hacked to heck.

A shop owner told me to just buy a junker cab and practice on that for my first time. Just gotta get access to a welder and Im ready to go for it.
I think its one of those things where you should read lots about how to do it then just practice practice practice.

On a 1 to 10 scale, its a 19. Not for the novice and remember, someone has to make the glass.
I had a 67 that was cut 4 inches, cool looking truck but the top and all the glass work was done when I bought the unfinished project.
