AutoLoc build quality products. I have their remote door lock kit on my 77 and it works great.

Haven't used these in a 73-87 but did use the same 50lb pull setup in a different vehicle with shaved handles. Worked awesome while I had the car (about a year) and didn't even need to install the poppers as the doors opened enough to get the fingers in. But honestly, I doubt I would use the 50lb guys again. I'd go for 35lb pulls.
I'd also look into SPAL brand parts. IIRC SPAL was cheaper and had good overall reviews also. |

I used this commando kit and it was very easy to install. I can't vouch for durability cause mine hasn't been used much (project not finished yet) but my friend has them on a DD with no problems.

I like them don't have them on my own rigs though and 40lb ones should be fine.
