Re: Would you buy it?

Looks like a good deal. Check for repairs and signs of previous rust. The pictures show that it was cared for at one time or another. How much do they want?

Re: Would you buy it?

Looks like a very solid truck for $1500. If you want ac you can always add that. If you are in the market for a good clean truck at a good price that might be the one.

I'd buy it then finish it with that nice paint on the bedside. Looks like a good ride to me.

Re: Would you buy it?

Lowered, 3/4 ton, flat black ,396, I would buy it ! I would offer him $1000 and a bottle of whiskey to seal the deal
Even at 1500 thats not a bad deal it looks better than my truck

Re: Would you buy it?

Took more pics...

He is in the process of rubbing off the primer down to the original olive color.

It's NOT a 396, but a 454. He found that out when the starter went and he had to take it to Autozone to have them guess at it until bolts matched up.

Video coming...

I passed on it. I have a friend considering. If he passes on it, I told the owner I would post up his email/phone for anyone interested on here. He had no idea of the board...

Re: Would you buy it?

If I can be nosy, why did you pass on it?

It looked like a real decent buy out here on the left coast.

never heard of the starter mount bolt pattern being different on 396 to 454.....I'd run the numbers on that block.....
