More pics, Interior
Heres pics of how much Dynamat I have completed up til now, waiting on a local stereo shop to get in my big box of dynamat I ordered, about 2 weeks ago.....
Heres some pics of my floor right after my dad painted it for me. Below are the trim pieces that I have in so far. The 2 outter vents are old vents that I sanded down and painted. I used the same paint with flattener in it that I used on the top of the dash, but for some reason they were shiny when they dried. I think they look good so I think i'm just gonna keep them shiny. The center ac vent is a new one. The ac controls was given to me by a friend. He use to part these trucks out a long time ago. He gave me about 6 boxes of stuff. I got the contols apart and cleaned out the 5 years of saw dust they had collected and it turned out pretty good. ------------------ '69 CST Short fleetside Lowered, 400 small block, 700R4, 3" dual exhaust, 40 series Flowmasters, 4 wheel disc brakes, all stainless hard and flex lines, front & rear sway bars, Dana 9 1/4" rear end 4.11's w/Detroit Locker, soon to have 18" rims Not my daily driver. I'm not for sure how low the truck is going to be once its done. I've got 2 inch drop spindles and i cut about 1/4th of a coil from the front springs. I also have 3 inch drop springs in the back. But I can already tell i'm gonna have to drop the back somemore to keep from having too much rake. I'm guessing a 3 inch drop in the front and a 4-5 inch drop in the rear when i'm done. All the dynamat is for tunes and heat. My 400 sb. with headers is probably gonna put off alot of heat so I put that stuff down trying to keep it half way cool in the cab. Also, you can see I didn't cut the dash where the radio goes. I'm going to try to find an original AM/FM and stick in there, but i'm not going to wire it up. I'm trying to find a place where I can hide a CD player, probably a Sony Xplode unit. I've got the gastank out of the cab, but I left the filler hole. My idea is to put a speaker box behind the seats. Then using the box, i'll cut the spout off an old in-cab gastank and attach it to the speaker box so it looks like I still have the gastank behind the cab. Having the filler neck coming out the side of the cab I think helps identify these trucks.
Thanks for the praise guys. ------------------ '69 CST Short fleetside Lowered, 400 small block, 700R4, 3" dual exhaust, 40 series Flowmasters, 4 wheel disc brakes, all stainless hard and flex lines, front & rear sway bars, Dana 9 1/4" rear end 4.11's w/Detroit Locker, soon to have 18" rims Not my daily driver. Its a painless wiring harness. It has plenty of good and bad parts to it.

I'm using Porche Guards Red. The paint on the floor is Dupont Enamel. ON the dash and roof are PPG base coat clear coat.

------------------ Nick Rodenberg Wellington, MO http://nickrod.port5.com You can click on "My 72 Chevy Truck" I have a 72 Cheyenne 10 with a V8 350 and a TH-350 auto-tranny. Ochre/White/Ochre Runs well... working on body. Plan to get painted weekend before memorial day weekend. Planned to be done March 7 when I turned 16. Didn't happen. Chose to do better job and be behind schedule instead of 1/2 doing it and it looking like junk.
