Re: Here she is in all her primered glory!!
Thanx JD for the tip. I finally figured it out. Thanx for the compliments.Right now I'll be running the stock rims. Actually, those are from an older truck. They have the "clips" for the hubcaps. I found them at the Pomona Swap-Meet, took them home , stripped them down to the metal, put two coats of primer and rattle canned them with high gloss rustoleum.

Okay, you see the master cylinder... Now,to the right of that is a clutch slave master cylinder from a Nissan 280Z!! Couldn't figure out where it came from till I search all over the junkyard and found where it came from. It's coming off anyways. Got the th350 goin' in......

Re: Here she is in all her primered glory!!
Thanks guys!! Getting ready to pull the motor & tranny out and re-do alot of bad work done by the two previous owners. I had to get rid of the chrome wheels because they were rusted and pitted bad on the inside. The tires were cracked real bad where they were just unsafe to drive.

Re: Here she is in all her primered glory!!
Thanks guys!!! Yeah, Sonia is my youngest. She's 8 and is very "girlie" with her pink dresses and dolls but when it comes time to work on the truck,it's all business. Puts on her ripped jeans and crappy t-shirt and grabs a wrench!!! Hey c10addict!! That's good idea taking her out to a track!! I think she'll dig it!! Her birthday is coming up soon......

Re: Here she is in all her primered glory!!
As promised, here are a few more pics......
The firewall had so many holes, I decided to cut it out and make it smooth. Besides, it doesn't get that cold in So. Cal. to need a heater. I found some scrap metal at work and it seemed to do the job. Next "hack job to tackle was on the frame behind the radiator.(don't know what that was all about but, also found some more scrap metal at work and worked out fine... stay tuned..... |

Re: Here she is in all her primered glory!!
Thanks k5blazer!! This is where the steeringbox was mounted.Had so much pressure on the side of the frame that it actually made small cracks on the side of the frame!! The new mounting kit should be here soon...
