Re: Just posted My old 72 Monster
I think you need a link to it.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/c...uct=2667&cat=8 I think your description might be lacking as well, with a built truck there's a lot of specific question's that should be addressed in a 'for sale' post IMO. Which axles? Body, blocks, springs...? What kind of lift? Engine mods? Stock clutch? Beefed up drive lines? Lockers, front/rear or both? Shock travel? How's the cage mounted? What's it made out of? Body condition? Does it have cross over steering or a dropped arm? Those kinda question's and more come to mind (for me anyway) when looking at purchasing a truck like that. Re: Just posted My old 72 Monster
No Bouncy it's not. This one I drove back in high school (12 yrs or so ago) I sold it to a buddy back then and now I bought it back.
It has a 350 30 over (not sure of cond.) 6 or 8" springs in the front and 2 or 4" springs in the rear with 4" blocks, 3" body lift, drop pitman arm and raised block on the knuckle under the steering arm (draglink sits level) dana 44 (open) diff in the front, corp. 14 full floater (factory posi or locker not sure) in rear, shortened 3/4 ton drivelines, Cage is floor mounted and the seats are mounted in the cage, Body will need some work but not bad at all. I will get some more pics and find out condition of engine today. |

Re: Just posted My old 72 Monster
It looks tough. I actually saw the listing on CL before seeing your post here and thought the price was quite reasonable. If I was looking for a monster, I'd be knocking on your door right now. I'd recommend getting it running and not list it any place else until it is running. First impressions can be huge.

Re: Just posted My old 72 Monster
She is a runner! Had no spark so I put an HEI, fresh gas, battery and she runs pretty good! The rag joint is broken on the steering colum so it doesnt drive down the road but it did hold together for a few trips around the yard. I havent had any interest from buyers yet. Any of you guys want a yard beast?

Hold on to it for a while longer if you can. Things just aren't selling too well right now, but good luck.
