1961 Apache

Okay here she is. I'll have better pictures of her in a day or two. Has anyone seen the flying apache that is on this hood? I posted a question about this a few weeks ago, but didn't get any answers about it. If you know anything about the history of it, I'd appreciate some info.
I need to get her inspected so I drive her around town. I guess the first thing is to get seat belts, then I'll start with the patching.
Thanks for all the words of wisdom. This will be a long project but it's something my sons and I are looking forward to.
Joe

Re: 1961 Apache

pugs,
The truck ran real good. It took 11 1/2 hours but I didn't have any problems. Here's another picture of it. This is on the way home.

Re: 1961 Apache

I'm amazed that I can't find a definate answer to this. I've researched this and still, no one has heard about it. Before I take her off and toss it, I need to make sure that I've received mis-information on it from the PO. I'll keep checking. When I find out, I'll post what I've learned.
Thanks,
Joe

Re: 1961 Apache

Nice looking truck. Wish mine looked that good when I bought it.Had to drive mine 40 miles home and I swear it took 11 hrs too. Not really but had to go real slow because the front end was shot. Also almost no brakes, stopping was quite adventurous. Good Luck.

Later, Ben
