Fuel tank conversion pix

I want to put my tank between the rails. I'm going to do a late model side fill in the bedside. I'd like to see what some of ya'll have done. I called CPP and they want 399 for a tank and about 25 for a sending unit. Is that about right. Is there a certain ohm sending unit I need?

If you have pix post them. (tank and filler neck)
What tank should I run?
Are you happy with the tank that you bought? (Fit, quality and price)
What company has the best deal?

I've already cut out the spare tire crossmember.

Thanks

Re: Fuel tank conversion pix

I suggest aluminum or SS not poly. I tried a poly tank and it just felt like I was installing a plastic "kids toy" type product in the frame....

$399 isn't bad.

nolimit engineering make one for a few companies... Might be something around Atlanta that you can pick up and save shipping.

Nolimit engineering makes good tanks. www.nolimit.net I have used there tanks on my truck and have had no issues. you can also search for member fuel cell guy who is on this site, he custom makes fuel cells as well.

I agree not to use poly even thou late model vehicles use them, but they are tucked up and out of the way. Plus aluminum or SS has some bling factor.

they mae 30 ohm and 90 ohm senders, I think the cut off year is 64-5? for the last of the 30 ohm senders, and then gm switched to 90 ohm.

Re: Fuel tank conversion pix

I'm planning on using one of these fuel doors. I'm leaning toward the square one.
