racing bucket seat question
Does anyone know of a narrow racing style bucket seat that is available? I'm trying to come up with something that will fit inbetween my seats. I'm considering putting my bench seat back in, but would have to cut my cage out to do it, and I really don't want to do that. If I could find some sort of small bucket seat that would fit between the bucket seats already in it, that would be great. I've looked around a little and haven't found anything yet.
Any ideas?

Re: racing bucket seat question
How narrow are you needing? Something for a child? I know that Kirkey makes on that is for racing go karts and qtr migets...here is a link:
http://www.daymotorsports.com/produc...KEY-CHILD-SEAT There are others out there made for go karts that may work for you...Look here: https://www.cyberdezign.com/%7Elight...gory=&listall= or here: http://host179.ebm.bestsoftwarehost....TI_ITEM_SUBMIT this last one has other brands such as G-Man and renegade that may also be what your looking for...

Re: racing bucket seat question
Thanks for the reply!
Yeah, I'm looking for a seat that my 6-year old daughter could sit on. I hate telling both of my kids that only one of them can go with me when I take the truck out, so I'm trying to address that problem! Those Kirkey seats look kinda like what I'm looking for, only in a lowback style. I'll have to see if they make one in those sizes and in a lowback. Thanks again!

Re: racing bucket seat question
Check out Kirkey's website, I'm pretty sure they make a low back seat like the style in a drag boat that would look cool in the middle, and most of thier seats come in different widths.

Re: racing bucket seat question
Thanks for the reply 71!
That's what I'm talking about! I'll have a look at their site to see what widths they offer. If I can find one in a kids size, that would be perfect. Thanks again!!

Re: racing bucket seat question
The link to Day Motorsports is the kid's size seat that my boy used when he was 7 in his racing kart...Good luck, sounds like you'll have some cool co-pilots with you..

Re: racing bucket seat question
Yeah, those widths would work, with the 14" starting to push the amount of room that I have to work with. Since you posted those links a day or two ago, I looked on Kirkey's website but didn't see anything like those in a lowback. So I got to thinkin' that maybe I should try to build my own out of some sheet aluminum. Then have it padded and covered once it's done. This may be what I end up doing.
I really don't like the looks on my son and daughters' faces when I tell them that only one of them can go with me, so something has to give. I sure don't want to discourage either one of them from this hobby, if they both have an interest in it. Beats seein' either one of them growing up and driving some Honda with a plywood wing and a Folgers can exhaust!
