Question late model bed install

High guys! I've seen several trucks with the 88 up step beds and would like to know how to do it on by 70 short bed. Any help would be appricated.

have you found a bed yet i have a nice one i am taking off my 68 . it's aready cut to fit for $500.00. i will try to find a pic.

the cover is not included its sold already. but for $50.00 more i will throw in a almost new rear sport bumper with brackets . if you need one that will save you at least a $100.00 to put toward gas to come get the bed.

You have seen what they look like when they are finished now I will show you what the start of a project looks like.

Sorry toke awhile to get back to you guys, what with a little visit from Gustav. But I thought about a late model bed as i can get one locally for $100 but need to know how much trouble to swap. I need details.

actually, it fits quite nicely.

This is what I did for the front. I have new bushings on the cab, so I went according to that to line it up.

It's 1" square tubing (however wide the cross-sil is), with a 3/8" flat bar on top of that. leveled out quite nicely.

I like the way Mike Nutt shaved the rear quarters to blend it in. That's the only way to go!

they look good. if the price is right go for it. the gm s 10 rear step bumper also is a nice fit for a rear bumper to.
