New/used steering box...How do i center everything?

I am still hunting for a power steering box since mine blew apart. I got the old one off, so the question is how do i put the new one on & get the steering wheel centered? Sorry, but i have never done this one before........

Re: New/used steering box...How do i center everything?

Well, i found one at a local bone yard off a '72. I rotated it & found it had 4 turns so i stopped at 2 & hooked it all up. So far so good, just getting the air out of the pump & gear box. Splines on the pitman arm keep you within a quarter turn. This one is much smoother than the one that blew, so hopefully it will last a long time.
