1 or 2 piece driveshaft
will 2 pc. hold up in 84 burb with a 406 w.th400 or should i have 1 pc. made up

well from my experiance and im sure people will disagree, in high school i had a 3/4 ton 4x4 lifted on 35's with a 383stroker and a turbo 400 with the one peice i kept poppin u joints, when i went to the 2 piece it worked great for as long as i had it.

2 piece is considered to be stronger, just because 2 small shafts with a center support are going to flex less than one huge shaft that has no center support. For example, regular half ton trucks got a 1 piece shaft, but the big 10 or heavy half trucks got a 2 piece.

I think if its getting lifted defiantly a 2 piece but if not I still think it would be better then the one piece but.
