Don't be too sure. I added a 72 mirror to my 68 that didn't come with one at all...

Not saying you're wrong, just pointing it out. Most likely you are right though..

Well in the case of having a '68 with a mirror mounted on the glass I wouldn't even be looking at the glass. I would be looking at the different front clip, different bumper and weather or not there were side markers. I know what you mean though, my buddy has a '68 with a '71 cab.

Re: I seen it @ Walmart

I bought my truck at a walmart 4 years ago. I was there to get some last minute stuff before leaving on vacation. My wife was a bit surprised .

Re: I seen it @ Walmart

agreed... '72 with the mirror on the glass... thats the only visible thing from a distance. '71 and '72 had the parklights in the bumper, along with disks in the front. The '72 also had some "special" holes on the inside of the doors just below the wing windows for something that I can't remember....

the holes had screws to keep the inner and outer door skins from seperating.

Why? Does his wife work for your insurance company?

You probably would have been fine looking inside. Pics would have been a little "off limits." I don't mind if someone snaps pics of my truck, but if I'm not at a car show, I don't like pics of the interior taken. I look at vehicles in parking lots all the time. Just don't touch it and you should be fine
