pictures of my 72 super
I got bored with all the hurricane crap going on down here so I decided to lower my 72 with some parts I had layng around. 3" Belltech spindles and 1" springs in the front / 2" springs and 2 1/2" blocks in the rear.
Since I am still waiting on my Porterbuilt drop member for the rear for my 77, I had to tear apart something else. |

Looks great. It's amazing what a few parts and an afternoon will do for the looks of one isn't it?

crawdad that thing looks killer! I really digging the seat, and the new stance looks just right on that thing.
Any other plans for the '72?

Re: pictures of my 72 super
72BlckButy i'll be selling it to make room for my 62 Biscayne. I wish i had more room to keep it, the truck is super solid! I would make it my daily driver, but the way crime is here, it would be stolen the first day!!!

Re: pictures of my 72 super
You can add blocks to trailing arms and get the desired look, just like when using shorter springs.

Re: pictures of my 72 super
crawdad, you have quite the fleet in your garage... Any pics of the '62 or is that the car you brought to the TN Goodguys?
How long is the hold out on the dropmember for the '77?

Re: pictures of my 72 super
I love the '62 Nova..., that's one of my favorite body styles!!! Is that a split bench seat inside? I've got a buddy that has a '64 and he has the solid bench seat.
Also, is that the same color on the '62 Nova and F-85?

When a truck is lowered, is the alignment affected?

Re: pictures of my 72 super
In most cases, no. On your truck you could run 2.5" drop spindles which are created to keep the factory specs, but lower the stance of the truck. If you run to short of a spring up front, you might run into an issue with bottoming out and such. I hope this helps...
Check out ECE (Early Classic Enterprises) for some great products, provided by guys that love the same things we do.
