Autoloc Universal Forward Tilt Hood Kit?????

http://www.thehoffmangroup.com/autol...?itemid=tilthd

Says it was designed using a 88-98 chevy but it could probably be made to work with some mods. $250 ain't bad either.

Was the quality pretty good? Did you notice any reason it wouldn't work on a 67-72 with some mods?

The 88 & up has an x shaped inner structure that the hinge frame attaches to. I dont know if the inner structures are close, but i will look at my 72 tomorrow and let you know. As for the quality i thought it was good. It took 2 of us about 2 hrs. to do the job.

Yes I have seen that but I am not sure I want all that trouble of finding one in the yard where I live and he would probably want $100 for the parts. I might be better off going this route. I was wondering if anyone has used this.

Re: Autoloc Universal Forward Tilt Hood Kit?????

I used a hinge off of a 88 buick park ave. It cost me 30.00 for the hinge, rollers, and bump stops at a local wrecking yard. Took a little mod but was put on in about 3 hours.

Do you have any good pics of the hood latch and hindjes and how you installed them. I have been wanting to do this for a while, but wasn't sure because my truck is painted already was welding is not an option...

Don't let that slow you down. With scrap metal being priced as it is, the supply is just going to diminish. If you think you want that mechanism, you'd better go get it!
