Bagged w/Rallies? And Police Caps? Maybe?!?
Did some searching and reading, but I find the search feature on this forum somewhat HORRIBLE. And I know this topic has probably been run into the ground, but the threads I found weren't exactly what I was looking for.
Planning on going w/some 15" rally (or rallye, if u must) wheels on my '67 for the time being. It's bagged (2.5" spindles up front) and I have 255/60-15's for the front and 275/60-15's for the back. So are any of u guys running a similar setup? Kinda curious as to what width wheels I should go with front and back. Pictures would be awesome. I guess if you're truck isn't bagged, that's ok too, but it's gotta be LOW! Also, do the police caps fit the front hubs on our trucks? Or am I stuck going w/the later model or corvette style caps? My trigger finger is getting itchy on the "purchase cart" button, but I don't wanna pull the trigger until I'm sure I'll like what I order! Thx in advance!

Re: Bagged w/Rallies? And Police Caps? Maybe?!?
I'm running ECE suspension components, but with a static drop....see my signature.
For wheels, I'm running Vette-style rallye wheels, with hot rod trim rings and police caps. I stayed with the 6-lug setup, and I don't regret it. The only issue I have with the police caps is that the grease cap on the front axles will come into contact with the back side of the cap....if your aren't careful, you'll have a dimple on the cap. I'll throw a pic in, after I resize one.

Ya I'm staying 6-lug too. What width are your wheels?

Re: Bagged w/Rallies? And Police Caps? Maybe?!?
Let's see if I can attach a picture. Had some difficulties attaching one to the post as an edit.
Apparently, not. I've posted pix before, but now it tells me that it's too wide, so I re-size the picture to the size requested only to have it tell me that the picture size exceeds the limit. By the time I get through resizing the picture, you won't be able to see it. Beats me how some of these pictures are large X huge, and I can't even get a properly-sized picture to upload.

Re: Bagged w/Rallies? And Police Caps? Maybe?!?
8's up front and 10's out back. I used a 4-inch backspace up front and a 5-inch backspace in the rear. It's perfect. Everything fits within the confines of the outside of the fenders and nothing rubs anywhere.
P.M. me and send me an email address and I'll send you a picture.

Re: Bagged w/Rallies? And Police Caps? Maybe?!?
No bags and chrome rallys. But 3.5/5 drop and police caps. Same tires as you. 8's with 4" bs up front and 10's with 4.25 bs out back.

Re: Bagged w/Rallies? And Police Caps? Maybe?!?
Those rear wheels look like they would hit the fender if I tried to air out my suspension. Kinda hard to tell from the pics. Maybe the .75" difference in BS is too much?
Truck looks great, BTW!

Re: Bagged w/Rallies? And Police Caps? Maybe?!?
One thing to watch out for when comparing with others is that the 67-69 rear ends are narrower then the 70-72 (by 1.5 inches or .75 inches on each side). Sorry, I don't have the overall face to face dimensions handy. This will play with the backspace that you will want to order.
On the tire rub issue, do you have a stock frame or has it been c-notched? I have a 1970 (wide housing) in my 68 with rear bags and stock frame. I have 17x8's with 4.5BS in the front and 17x9.5 in the rear with 5"BS in the rear. I run 255/60 in the front and 275/60 in the rear. When I blow all the air out of the rear bags, I hit the bump stops without hitting anything else. Based on what I understand yoou are going to do, I woul expect me to rub before you. Attached is a picture at ride height. Hope this helps

My frame is C-notched. I didn't really want this to turn into another "Will this backspace work?" thread, but it seems to have gone that way. It's just such a small difference between what will and what won't work AND what looks good. LOL BTW, very nice truck!

Re: Bagged w/Rallies? And Police Caps? Maybe?!?
Thanks guys.
It sounds like you have settled in on a look you are shooting for, so in my mind the backspacing is everything at this point. I have a buddy that didn't put much thought into it and got the wrong backspacing. It is fine 80% of the time, but he is always worrying about rubbing. Hopefully you can find someone with a similar setup that can help you decide. A good wheel vendor should be able to help out too. In my opinion, if you have the stock rear you are probably looking at the 4.25 in back and 4.5 in the front (based on 10's & 8's respectively). Good Luck.

Re: Bagged w/Rallies? And Police Caps? Maybe?!?
I don't know what "police caps" are, but here is mine before I dropped the front a little more and fixed the rear-end.
BTW - I'm not sure if I will keep the color pattern on the wheels

Here's a few different combinations of lowered trucks with ralleys.

Re: Bagged w/Rallies? And Police Caps? Maybe?!?
I know this isn't what you are looking for but just thought you or others might like it if there isnt already a thread on this truck. NOT MINE BY THE WAY but super clean in person! His streetsource profile reads....15" smoothies with baby moon centers 215/65/15 up front & 225/70/15 in the rear....if this even helps?

Re: Bagged w/Rallies? And Police Caps? Maybe?!?
Hotrodhomi and Houp, can u guys gimme specs on your wheel size and backspacing?
And Rustspot, yes that truck is amazing. My favorite part of it is the inside of the bed! And thanks so much for all of the pics guys! My head is spinning! I see a couple in there w/the exact look I'm going for. This guy nailed it IMHO, but these wheels look larger than 15's:

Re: Bagged w/Rallies? And Police Caps? Maybe?!?
Ok so I went out there today to do some measuring and now I'm even more confused. Summit only carries the 15x10 in a 5" BS or a 4.5" BS. I have the narrow rear, and with a 5" BS on a 10" wheel, it looks like I'll be into the inner part of the rear fenders when I air it out. The 4.5" BS looks like it'll fit, but just barely.

Re: Bagged w/Rallies? And Police Caps? Maybe?!?
1LoC10 posting of the primered truck looks like the one to get the skinny on. Since it is obviously aired-out, knowing what size wheels are on it should help determine what would/wouldn't work.
The silver truck looks nice, but (my opinion) the primered one is key.

Re: Bagged w/Rallies? And Police Caps? Maybe?!?
You talking about this one? My truck isn't that low.
This one is more like what I'm shooting for... albeit a tad bit lower in the rear.... The pic below is how my truck sits w/the current 15's:
