Northstar in a 67-72
I took this at Myrtle Beach S.c. this past March. It was in a nomad. I wonder how it would like seating in a 67-72 truck frame. I have a 94 caddy with the northstar and it has all kinds of power. What do the rest of you think?

The only problem with using one of those is if It something electronic fails it can be a bear to fix. I considered using one in the past but decided to stay with the tried and true small block. If you are still curious search for caddilac northstar crate motors. In the recent past they were offered as a crate motor from different speed shops.

I would love to slap one of those in a Fiero. Instant high 12 second car with no mods to the engine. Once you get the govener removed, it'll be in the low 12's.

I dont like computerized powerplants(I grew up with the dinosuars!).......they are an awsome mill though! My advice is to leave the eng in the wifey's Caddy.......they get a little "strange" about pcs borrowed from their cars.......LOL!!!!!!........69

I know those Northstars are neat high HP engines, but do they have the torque to move our trucks?

I don't know there torque ratings, but they do have a little. Probably enough, but not enough to be too quick. More important than how much...the Q is, where is it on the powerband?

They have plenty of torque. One of the places I was talking about advertised 400 ftlbs. and 320 hp. It would be neat if you like techie stuff. Personally I am thinking on getting a 3 duece setup from hotrodcarbs.com.
