tank level reading
I am having a strange problem that someoene must know about. My gauge reads 1/4 difference depending if the head lights are on or not. It seems to be more correct when the lights are on and when they are off it seems to read more full than it really is.
Thanks in advance if anyone knows the solution to this problem. |

Re: tank level reading
wow that is really weird haha. I dont even know just check all your wires im sure someone out there knows one time my wire that hooks right on to the tank itself was loose and the gauge would say my gas was goin all haywire like one second i would have a full tank then none....check that

Re: tank level reading
it's odd that it only effects it a little, usually it's a huge chainge.
Troubleshoot... turn on ignition, note fuel reading. Turn on headlights, notice the drop... now, turn the dash lights off. If the fuel guage goes back to normal, then you need to add a ground to the inst panel. |
