Re: Pimpin!!!!

Honestly, it rides great!
The rear axle does slam into the frame. Some stiffer shocks, and possibly a notch are in the future... but the ride is soft, not bouncy at all, yet firm enough that the sucker doesn't lean when i try a lane change like it used to.

Re: Pimpin!!!!

the quote in my siggy says it all...
I stopped to gas it up, and this cat came flying into the gas station lot (was driving an older GM van, late 80's early 90's) he leaned out the window, shouted "I dunno what that thing is you are driving, but it is SWEET!" And he kept on goin out the other entrance to the lot, never even stopped.

Lets not forget how it used to sit;

Re: Pimpin!!!!

well.... I never measured the height of it when I started. If I go by LMC's measurements in there lowering guid, then it should be at 34 inches in back, and 32 up front. Right now, it's sittin at 29 in front, and 28 in back.
So 7 in back, and 3 in front.
The front needs to come down another inch, maybe a tad more, but I am waiting to see if the front settles any more. It's come down just a little more since i put it together.

Re: Pimpin!!!!

4 inch coils in back (for a truck, not a burb)
The front doesn't seem to add up. A member gave me these drop lower control arms. I used them, in conjunction with 3 inch drop coils... yet, the front is hardly dropped.

Andy, I'm betting it's because the back dropped more than the front, in effect raising the front up some.

Yo Andy.....your land barge is looking awesome! When I grow up I want to have a suburban just like yours! Any plans for a paint job or are ya' gonna roll it calico style.......not that there's anything wrong with that- I kinda like it myself.

Good Job Man! Hope you enjoy driving it as much as we enjoy gawkin' at it.
