Power brake booster question
How much difference is there in the brake boosters? I want to convert my 67 C20 with drums all around to power brakes. I found a complete power brake setup at a junkyard from a disc brake C20. Is this not a good booster to use? Should I use a C20 drum brake booster only? I have pretty much figured out the interchange info from the NAPA autoparts website. About the time I buy a new booster I will find a C20 parts truck with disc brakes. The junkyard crushed the rest of that truck, I want to convert to front disc someday, but you know the whole time and money thing.

Re: Power brake booster question
I tried putting a disk booster on my drum truck a few years ago. I can't remember why now... but I was unable to do it.

Re: Power brake booster question
If you are staying with all drums and just adding power, you will need the booster, mounting bracket and the rod to hook the booster to the pedal. You'll need to bend or move the lines from the line block down to the wheels, and you may not even need a new Master Cylinder to bolt to the booster.
Oh yeah, you'll need the hoses and valve hicky (forgot their real name) to hook it up to an engine vacuum. The C20 Booster give you more pressure and since yours is a C20 I would not go with the smaller 1/2 ton booster.

Re: Power brake booster question
I guess my main question is can I use a disc brake booster for my drum brakes?
