they are sought by those who are restoring ot 100% correct, the bulbs have a date code on them,, for a 69 the date would be something like K158, etc, its on them somewhere.

All 4 of my head lights are t3. The guy I bought it from thought they were original ( he had the truck 20 years). I would sell them if someone was doing a 100% correct restroration.

I've still got one T3 on my 68.. I've been planning on putting something brighter in mine for a while now.

My '69 had both of it's T-3's but I stupidly left them in since I hardly ever drive at night. Sure enough, they blew out. Once the first one went, it wasn't long until the other did too. (I guess it missed it's buddy LOL) I did manage to find one in the bone yard since and im hanging on to it. (found it in an old beer truck of all places)
I sure wish I put the old ones aside. Although my truck is semi custom, it would have been nice to put them back in when I get it all done. The 5" headlights are alot easier to find than the 7". For the 5"ers, check all the Cadillacs, Buicks, etc at the junkyards. I found alot in cars like that. BTW, there were different T-3's through the years. The small ones had a slight design change in 1968 in that the triangle in the center has vertical lines in it. 67-back a bit didn't have these. ------------------ 63 Impala*66 Chevelle SS*69 Chevelle*69 C10 Stepside*71 Cheyenne 20*72 Chevelle Parts for sale: http://www.angelfire.com/trek/mr409/items4sale.html
