ahhhh!!! need help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

well today my truck started messin up....i had my radio up and everything and when i take off it felt like my truck was boggin down and just wasnt running too good then i turned my radio down and took off and my engine was running perfect but like i was on ice for like 2 inches then on pavement for two inches does that make sense? like something is slipping?

Sounds like the radio and throttle are crosswired some how...

lol no no i confused everybody i bet lol it had nothing to do with my radio just the fact i couldnt hear my engine so it felt like my engine was boggin on take off but it wasnt my engine at all

Like the transmission was staying a gear two high and then loosing it's mind trying to get it right? I have felt that before but only after some intense punishment from my right foot on a very hot summer day without a tranny cooler, I went home and parked it and let it cool off and it was fine the next day and has never done it again.

nah i go a light foot

but no it does it in reverse also... and i let it sit and it seemed like it got worse so i just parked it and ill look at it a lil more tomorrow

ya mine did it driving normaly right after beating on it It would shudder a little like it was trying to take off in 3rd then pause for a couple seconds going down to 1st I never figured out what it was and dont plan to knock on wood

does the fluid smell burnt? still look clean?

No the tranny fluid. Do you hear a clunking from the back? theres not realy any where for it to slip in the rearend unless you broke it bad.

yeah i checked the tranny fluid it smelled good, looked good, and even tasted good no not any clunking i dont think hmm torque convertor? i mean im not a mechanic by no means thats why i get on this website everyday always learning something new
