question about shorty headers

I have a '67 chevy 1/2 ton 2wd. I need a good shorty, or mid-length header. I priced 2 headers, both ceramic coated. First, Hedman, $450. Second, Flowtech, $350. Whats a good brand? Hedman have some good headers, but $450?

Re: question about shorty headers

I have used flow techs on many occasions I have a set on my 70 stepper since 1995, never even had to put gaskets on them. Just start with the middle bolts and work outward. Most flange warping on headers is caused by improper tightening upon installation. Get it hot and the re-tighten all the bolts once again from the center out. They will be trouble free for years to come.
