Got a sway bar !

Brandon and I went to a junk yard this morning . I picked up a 1 1/4 inch front sway bar from a C30 (i think). Bought the hangers for the frame and new bushings. Wow ! What a difference !
Can really hang the corners now without the truck plowing.
Sway bar from junk yard --- $40.00
GM brackets 2 @ 9.63 each---20.85
Moog bushing set 2@11.89----20.15 (2 bushings each set)
Misc hardware 5.00
---------------
Total $ 86.00
He got treasures too but I'll let him tell yall about it.
I also got a HEI coil for 5 bucks. Just need to test it for a spare.
Probly an hour install time. Thing is heavy

Awesome deal man!! Did you get the front or rear sway bar? Im assuming front since you mentioned plowing. Did it affect the ride any other than cornering?

Seems to recover a little better when you hit a bump. No ride difference. Best money spent so far on old Mellow Yellow

When you hit a good bump in my truck, the body is what has to recover! The suspension on mine is so stiff, you feel every bump!

Cool Paul, I was wondering if you got a hold of Brandon and went out there. Good find! So, anything else interesting out there?

Not sure if you saw my other post on the parts board, but I'm looking for a burb now. Anything pre-80. Be on the lookout for me when you're traveling the countryside. I'm wanting to trade for my truck.

Talking MY junk yard finds

I found 2 items for me.

A p/s bracket that I have been needing for ever now- $10
[b] A MINT EXCELLENT CONDITION FRONT DASH BEZEL FOR 73-80 (has wiper on the dash) WITH SILVERADO TRIM ON ALL SECTIONS WITH FACTORY CUTOUT FOR RADIO- $20

I couldn't believe it. I was shocked. You should have seen Paul's face when I showed his the large pile of bezel (front and rear with gauges as well!!). It's a freaking goldmine out there!!

If anybody needs parts here in the area let me know and I"ll tell you how to get there.

Hey Brandon is there any way you can find out if they have a non-A/C dash bezel for an '83? I would like to have a better one, but I dont want to pay $$$.

Let me know. Thanks......

Eddie- Is it the kind with wiper controls on column or dash? Also you want the chrome trim or not. I'm betting that it won't be since the non-ac option.

Go out 78 to past Lavon and take a right at the Exxon station. Go down all the way to the stop sign and take a left. He's right there.
