I found a nice original center console, i know these go for big bucks, but the one i found is red.. and im going with a black interior. Is there any way to change it to black? they are not all metal are they? I have never actually seen one in person only online..

They are fiberglass, get some good stripper and the red will come off, then repaint with some good paint.

so it can be painted? alright thank you, i was afraid it might have a vynil top that couldn't be painted.

The stripper I got at Walmart MAR-HYDE Tal Strip in a White Gallon Jug. For the paint SEM is suppose to have some good interior paint but I used some PPG interior paint, couldn't find SEM around here. After you get the paint all stripped Wash and rinse it GOOD.
Mine turned out prettry good for my first time.
