New (to me) wheels for the 72 C10

Got some new wheels for my 72 C10 off Craigslist. They are Z Racing (Sears house brand). I think they are an improvement, and they fit my nonexistent budget. I got the rims/tires for $200 (Bridgestone Dueler H/T's with about 75% of the tread left on them). Here is the before/after. Sorry for the awful lighting, I am not a photographer by trade

kinda gets rid of the 'old man vibe' huh?
It's amazing how some trucks look timeless with hub caps, while others, look like an old guy should be putting around town hunched over the steering wheel and a lucky strike cigg hanging from his lip and the ashes falling on the floor.

Re: New (to me) wheels for the 72 C10

Good buy on the tires and wheels and they do look good on your truck. And,,I must say that the color scheme of blue on bottom and white on top with your style truck with the nice shiny mirrors just makes it look great.. Must be the wheels that sets it off that way.. LOL,,, papa

Re: New (to me) wheels for the 72 C10

I have been trying to get rid of the hubcaps for some time. I think they are from an early 70's Impala. I needed a spare tire, so now I have four Now I just need to figure out a way to attach the spare underneath (all the hardware is gone).

Re: New (to me) wheels for the 72 C10

I would go to the wrecking yard and get the newer rear crossmember with the crank up cable for the spare. As I recall they just bolt in on the newer trucks
