compression test
alright im new at doin this i have a compression tester and an engine that needs a compression test done on it so...do i just pull a plug screw the tester in then turn the motor over some? i know i should prob unhook the distriubtor so it wont start right?

It is best to remove all of the sparkplugs. That way you are not fighting against the compression of the others. Also block the throttle wide open....and yes, disable the ignition.

Also best if performed with engine at or near operating temperature. Let the engine run 4 cranks and take reading.
