Which Carpet..

I need some carpet for my truck 70 GMC4x4 4 speed without fuel tank in cab.
ACC does not make it without fuel tank or Trim Parts they have some for that application. I want to go black.
Anyone use Trim Parts with good results?
I may also make some kind of speaker panel to go back there so I might be able to use use ACC. Anyhow anybody have feedback.
Thanks
Ron

Re: Which Carpet..

Seems to me that we have at least one vendor on-site who sells the TrimParts brand. So, ACC doesn't sell carpet w/o also including the cover for the gas tank? I thought that I had seen the carpet in a stand-alone sale, and the gas tank cover and kick panel carpets were extras.

Re: Which Carpet..

The Trim Parts one just covers the floor area where the Fuel tank sat. To cover back wall you have to buy that peice separatley.
Who sells the Trim Parts?
Thanks
Ron

Re: Which Carpet..

We are dealers for Trim Parts or you can buy direct from them. We are a little less expensive. Overall i like their carpet. I would suggest getting the floor mats also cause like most repro carpet it will wear quicker than most OEM carpet. I have heard the GM is going (GREEN) with carpet made from recycled plastic bottles.

Mike How much for a High Hump without fuel tank? Also does this cover entire area from sill plate to sill plate? There will be no exposed areas?
Thanks

Re: Which Carpet..

Yes is will cover the entire floor. You will have to trim it at the rockers and the back corners as it will be about 3inches oversized along the sides. You have to cut your own dimmer switch hole and add supplied grommet. ALong the sides at the front at the kick panels they usually have a binding sewn on.

They do not come with any jute if you are planning on using it.

I know they have went up on the prices and I will get Jennifer to call them and see what the price increase is. We will still be less than buying direct.

If you want to do the back of the cab, we do this all the time on these trucks with a variety of materials. We just build an aluminum framework and attach wood or plastic panels and use just about any kind of material. They are held on by Christmas trees and can be removed.

Re: Which Carpet..

Check out www.stockinteriors.com You can order free samples. I got them in like 3 days. I just ordered my carpet this weekend, comes with jute backing and other upgrades are available. I ordered a low hump, tank removed. Mine was $129.15 shipped. I should have it in a couple days, but I won't be ready to install it for a week or two.
