Cool Pics
I took my truck out to my transmission shop this afternoon, to have him check out the shift kit. I pulled in next to a real clean GMC. It was a customers, and it had a hot-rodded 292 six and built 700R4. Sounded real cool. Nice truck. Took a couple pics with my phone.

Really? I dont know anything about the straight sixes. It sounded nice though, when they fired it up and moved it into the shop

292 parts are easy to find but you need a big wallet for the parts.

Yeah, straight sixes sound pretty cool with the right exhaust. I like the sound of the older 235's over the 250 and 292 engines though. I think it would be cool to find an old GMC 302 I6 and put it in a 67-72 era truck.

Ya i was curious so i did some searching and found several speed shops/websites dedicated to straight sixes (GM, Ford, Mopar)
There are lots of cool parts for them. It would be great to build a low buck shop truck style with an inliner and like a 5 speed out of a 3rd gen Camaro or something. |

Very nice 54 GMC
or it could be a first series 55 You can tell it is a 54 or 55 by the solid winshield I like the sound of the six with dual exhaust A buddy of mine back in the 80's had one with the full chrome grill

I would love to see it! A buddy of mine has a 52 GMC with the original 228 but he's looking for a 302 I6 to build for it. I think he had located one, but hasn't went to pick it up yet. I think he said he wasn't worried about it getting gone because it's somwhere where nobody can find it.
