Tired of my lift!!!!
I need sum help. I got a 06 silverado z71 ext. Cab short bed and i got a 6" rough country suspension lift and i want the d@mn thing off. Is it easy? Is it something that can be done over the weekend? Is it all bolt on? Any kind of advice would be greatlu apprec. Dont get me wrong, i luv the 4x4's but my mileage sux and my wife had a hip replacement 2 yrs ago, and she has a pushed disk. The truck is also our main source of transportation. Please help

Tired of lift!!!
I need help guys and gals. I got a 06 silverado ext. Cab with a 6" rough country lift. I need to take it off. My wife had a hip replacement a while back and recentlu got sum pushed disk. Can it be taken off during a weekend? Any special tools i need? Do you all know if it would be a bolt on? The bak is simple, its just the front that bothers me. Any help would be greatly apprec. Thanx in advance

Most of the lifts for IFS trucks are hard to return to stock. When they are installed they have to cut one of the front diff mounting brackets off the frame. Some lift companies sell a replacement bracket so you can return to stock though...

Did you buy the truck lifted or install it?
What about trading it in on an 09? Zero mechanical work on your part that way. Win/win for both you & your wife IMO. |

Unfortunately,it will be very difficult.It`s a big job installing one and as mentioned,you have to alter mounts.If you don`t know exactly what was done,it will make it harder.

i have never done a lift on a truck this new but if i remeber right the big selling point is that it is a true bolt in kit as where the 89-98 chevs had to have a tab cut off the front diff. good luck. maybe post a picture or to of the front suspention.
