Hooter - That is Hilarious

Here in Toronto there is a big to do about the use of the word Christmas. The city of T.O. called the huge Christmas tree that they put up a Holiday tree. Oh I just heard on the radio that city counsil voted to change the name back to a Christmas tree. Have you ever heard of such BS. Is this kind of crap happening where you are.

We are suffering from it over here. We have something called an advent calendar in the UK, you may have them over there, Christmas picture with little numbered doors on it you hang on the wall, kids open the corresponding door each day during the 24 days of Advent, little picture behind the door, if you're lucky a chocolate flavoured festive shape. This year they no longer seem to be Advent calendar but "Christmas countdown calendars" Multiculturalism taken to extremes...

HEY PEOPLE CHRISTMAS IS A CHRISTIAN FESTIVAL! I don't ask Muslims to change the name of Ramadan, or Hindus to change Dhiwali so don't mess with Christmas.

Happy thanksgiving by the way!

must be the strain of having completed my Late December Festive Occasion with Gift Giving and an indoor tree shopping!

Rant over, phew

There is no difference, as far as PC goes, in Advent or Christmas. Both refer to the CHRISTIAN holiday. Such crap!

BTW we have advent calendars and I think they are still called Advent. Of course we are your prodicle son nation.

I wuz wonderin'

If the tree huggers ever force us to drive electric cars, and let's say they run on 220v,will they try to force us to start using 110v to save electricity?
