Difference in factory wheels??
I've heard that there is a difference in wheels on trucks equipped with front drums and trucks equipped with disc brakes. I have some stock wheels from a 69 I was gonna run on my 71 blazer. The truck has drums and my blazer has discs. Will there be clearance issues before I go pic up the wheels from my dad's house?

Re: Difference in factory wheels??
They all had rear drums and you can rotate the wheels, so I don't see how they could be different. I've got no data to back that up though...

Re: Difference in factory wheels??
True, it was just something I heard and wanted to see if anyone else had heard the same thing, it sounds kinda silly I guess to think that they'd be different.

Re: Difference in factory wheels??
Hey Jtrux, I believe there is a difference in the wheels. I don't think an early drum brake wheel, prior to disc brakes, will clear the calipers.

Re: Difference in factory wheels??
No they will not fit, I tried the same thing. You need wheels from a 71-81 4X4

Re: Difference in factory wheels??
Okay, thanks for the replies. I figured it had to be something with caliper clearance.
Thanks again.

Good to know. I've never heard that before.
