Brought another one home today!

Found this truck last May and bought it but just now got around to getting it here. 72 1 ton with a flatbed and big block, 4 speed..pretty plain old truck but its very solid for a Kansas truck.

Re: Brought another one home today!

Plans are to convert it to 4x4 and use my Cummins 4bt in it..I have 3 different trans combos in the shop that I can use but have not decided on yet..TH-475, NV-5600 or a T-18 all have NP-205s behind them.

I like it.

If you have all that stuff sitting outside because the shop is full, what's lurking in the shop??????????

Keep the Swan Rob, you could just change your board name to Swanman. Nice find, I think I have seen that truck before, where did you find it?

Jeff, the previous owner was a farmer in Homewood, he bought the truck in Nebraska when it was 2 years old so its been in your area since then. I know he goes to Topeka alot so there is a good chance youv seen it before. Hasnt been on the road in about 4 years tho.

Re: Brought another one home today!

Although a plain truck,it`s a bit unique how it`s built. You didn`t see alot of big blocks ordered in 1t work trucks like that.

Re: Brought another one home today!

They made the Longhorn because they already had the frame from Stepsides and SRW cab`n`chassis. You could get narrow 9' utility bodies and 10' flatbeds for single wheel 60" cab to axle trucks.
