What did you get done this weekend ?
I finished my rear bumper, primed it and painted it.
Best I can figure, it weighs somewhere around 250 pounds. I built a hidden reciever hitch into the design. When you pull the plate out of the reciever, you're ready to plug in the tow hitch. Also recessed an 8 prong trailer light plug behind the plate too. I like the stealth look of no hitch or wiring when the plate is in place. As soon as the paint fully kicks, I'll install the backup lights into the holes and do the wiring for them and the license plate light. I also installed one of those cab visors that everyone hates. Beats me, I like them for a work truck. I'm about to start installing the cab lights next.

Re: What did you get done this weekend ?
I've worked so far. Worked my regular 24 hour shift yesterday. Ended up fighting a house fire at 5:30 this morning in 12*F weather. Still working. Got a 24 hour overtime shift today.

Re: What did you get done this weekend ?
Bumper and truck both look awesome! Looks like you got quite a bit done. I've been trying to fix a small tranny leak on my Buick, but all I got done so far was to clean off the bottom of the motor

Re: What did you get done this weekend ?
Great looking job on that bumper,,really like the rounded look of the edge ,,
..Say .. I just looked up Springfield on the map and found it and it says you have 44 more women than men in your town .. Been taking advantage of that Firefighter ? LOL And the chamber of Commerce is giving away $$ prizes for pictures to put on the towns web page .. Heres and Idea :: Put that nice looking bumper on that great looking truck and take a picture with the town in the background and go collect the dough .. J/K with ya .... I like your work , my son has a truck sort of like yours /not as nice (he wrecked the front of it it hunting ) and he could use a bumper like yours for sure.. papa

Bumper looks great. You gonna need some helper springs to hold that thing up?

Re: What did you get done this weekend ?
Wife and I went to Leavenworth Washington for the Christmas lighting thingy. We took the rig, and stayed in a nice B&B. Probably wasn't very constructive as far as accomplishing anything, but sometimes we just like to take off and drive... be nomads for a weekend.
Some snow too. |

Re: What did you get done this weekend ?
Nice bumper!
All I did was finish building and wiring and concreting my new 16'x8'x8' goat birthing center. Fun all weekend, the hardest part was nailing on the tin roofing by hand, the rest was a piece of cake.

Nice lookin on the bumper, wish I had the patience to fab that!
I worked on the GMC this weekend... Yanked the LT1, 4L60E and the engine wiring harness. Have to seal up the many oil leaks on the engine, rebuild the trans and clean up the wiring harness!!! Looks as if I got one heck of a winter project ahead of me!!! Mike

I put about 120 miles on my truck, if that counts as doing anything.

Re: What did you get done this weekend ?
Nothing..I had surgery on Thursday to remove a tunor in my foot and I'll be laid up on my back (or butt) for two weeks. NO walking or driving or any fun stuff. 3 days in and I am bored out of my tree!

Bumper looks great!!!!!
I rode my harley yesterday and at night I went to a local car cruise..Today I Raced a friend of mine on his 73 chevy truck with a 383 and SPANKED his ass badly....he was running his mouth about his 383 strocker against my 406 so I was forced to show him that my bucket would smoke his not once, not twice but three times...

Re: What did you get done this weekend ?
Spent half the weekend going back and forth to where My wifes car broke down on Thursday night. Broken AC Pulley that can't be bypassed with a shorter belt.
Got it towed home last night. Pulley should be here tomorrow. Had a broken tooth pulled Friday. That weekend in Levenworth for the tree lighting ceremony and a stay in a B&B sounds like a lot more fun than I had. For those of you who are not in the PNW here is a link to The town and event that Indyuke an his better half spent the weekend at. And hey they went in the truck. http://www.icicleinn.com/festivals/c...aslighting.htm |
