No insults to anyone here but most trigger locks where designed by lawyers in my opinion. The ones found at your local retailer lock using a two pronged key. A folded paper clip will unlock them and we all know three year olds are geniuses in little bodies. I prefer a lock box with a real key or a combination lock.
If you do not need life saving access, a plastic wire tie works wonders. Most gun shows here require them. Through the cylinder, around the hammer or down the barrel.
If you need quick access, and want a trigger lock, look for one with an individual # key.
Try cheaperthandirt , or sportsmans guide or search shooting supplies. Cabelas or Bass Pro Shop. Hope this helps. I have a three year old here also.
try here, page two.
